Final front cover image

This is the image that I have finally decided to use for my front cover but I am not completely sure that it is okay because I have not seen any R&B magazines with the models hand covering their face so I did some research to find some magazines with images that are alike and found that my image is appropriate and can suit my magazine as the images draws attention to readers.

 
These are three examples of vibe magazine where the artists has their hand on their face or in front of their face. So now I have definitely come to a conclusion that my image is suitable for my magazine.

This is an idea of what my layout will look like, for my front cover, I will follow this guideline for my final piece.

Masthead ideas

I have made three designs on illustrator for my music magazine. I have chosen these colours because I think that they stand out quite a bit. The blue masthead is my favourite masthead because it is quite bright and bold so it will stand out over the main picture on my front cover. Having three ideas to choose from is easy as I already have them and they could also be used for different editions of the magazine.

Photoshoot for my magazine

Yesterday I did my photoshoot for the front cover and double page spread of my magazine, this is a picture of the set, I chose to work with the black backdrop because my genre of music that I am doing for my magazine is old school R&B. I had fun working in the studio and produced a lot of good pictures that will feature in my magazine.

 

These are just a few images that were produced from my shoot and could be in my magazine.
