Looking at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

My first drafts of my magazine I realized that there was not much of a difference or many changes that were needed to be done as everyone agreed with the way it looked other than the front cover where a puff was not needed. 

My double page spread, there is a big change as I had to make it on an A3 page instead of two A4 pages. Other than that everything was fine. 

I have learnt a lot as I look at my preliminary task it does not look at professional as my final product.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My magazine s representing a particular social group by the language I used in my text. I thought I would use an informal way of writing but also language that can be understood by everyone as my target audience starts at 15 and not all of them would understand word of high lexis. I also wrote like this as it is the way in which the social groups, I want to represent would write and would like to see in my magazine. The way I wrote on my double page spread is very conversational as it is a question and answer article, and the artist I was interviewing is of the 20^th century, so it is the way she speaks. I think that the images would also represent certain social groups as the model is dressed how musicians dressed in those times, they would wear mainly branded clothing like Nike and Adidas tracksuits or sweatshirts and that dress sense is also coming back into style now so the social groups would feel in touch as it is how they are dressing now. The social groups that would dress like this are mostly young females and males that are passionate about old soulful music and have grown up listening to it, so they would be up to date with what was produced in the early days. Not only what the model wears represents the social groups, it is also the camera angle and the shots that were taken. As the camera is above the model and the model is looking up, it gave the impression that they are looked down upon for progress and that is how children feel in this generation. The way the model is posing is the way that older people would have posed and sat, as they would imitate what they have seen before. This means they liked what they saw and would recognize and understand what the artist is feeling. I would say that where the image is taken would interest the social groups as, it would make them work hard for what they want as they know the history of what it took and takes to get to this sort of position. My representation is positive, as there is no negativity included in my magazine.
